lol for example tonight i served smoked sausage with red beans & rice. i was expecting yucky faces and maybe a bite or two. WELL, my 4 year old cleaned her plate (which is a rarity for her), my 2 year old asked for seconds and the one who usually eats anything (my 1 year old) was the picky one tonight and only ate the beans. Which is fine by me, she's anemic and needs the iron anyway. but i was like wow! not expecting this at all! of course, they have a misconception that the sausage is hot dogs.. and i dont plan on correcting them anytime soon if it gets them to eat it LOL.
and then the other night, i made shepherds pie. omg, it was so delicious. first time ive ever made it too. i was expecting full bellies that night, my kids love mashed potatoes and my oldest loves meat. that night they picked at everything and hardly touched it!
