  • not really....we have smoke detectors, a carbon monoxide detector, sprinkler system (they are mandatory here when you build a house), and a alarm system. food wise....well i am always running to the store to buy something, so i am really really not prepared as far as food goes. hey, i belong to costco....i have enough toilet paper to last around 100 years! that should count for something lol. we also have solar powered flashlights which are awesome and i guess they would be good for an emergency.

  • Honestly, no, but because of this snow storm, I think this has been a wake up call for me. Luckily, our power has only gone out once for 1 hour. I am definitely going to work on an emergency kit before I may need one.

  • I do have an emergency kit in the basement with batteries, flash lights, lighter, candle, canned food and water. New flash lights. Our house has smoke detectors and fire extinguishers and a Carbon monoxide detector

  • We had a window peeper about a year ago -- we are prepared for all sorts of emergencies. Fire, power loss, snow in, or someone breaking in. I'm the paranoid type though.

  • Yes. Hubby wouldn't let us not be prepared.

  • Nope, that's so bad considering all the disasters happening all around the world. We should be better prepared.
