Should I really shovel all this snow while pregnant?

I mean, it's not a lot, I need to get it done! Does it risk my baby at all?

  • I'm almost 38 weeks, and I shoveled the snow yesterday. My back hurt after, but I didn't die :)

  • Other than taking a chance of falling, I would say the exercise would be good for you.

  • It's just exercise!! Not a big deal at all!

The only thing you need to be careful of is fallling. I know here we get more ice than snow so it would be pretty dangerous for a pregnant lady to get out there because she can fall on her tummy but if it's just snow usually it's not all that slippery until it melts and refreezes. As long as you have good, pretty slip resistant shoes on I would say it's fine.

  • I beg to differ as to not being babied during pregnancy....that is the ONLY time in my life I feel I deserve to be babied. It's hard work being pregnant...what's he doing 24/7??? I'M GROWING A DAMN BABY!!!!

  • Physical excercise will not hurt the baby unless you are high risk. Stop using the pregnancy as an excuse and shovel the damn snow.

  • I think as long as it snow only you should be fine .

  • Just because you ar pregnant doesn't mean you need to be babied and have everything done for you. In a healthy pregnancy you are fully capable of doing everything you did before you got pregnant. Do what you gotta do!
