How early can a pregnancy test show up positive?

I am DYING to know!!! I know that this is a super common question, but what is the absolute earliest I can take a test and get an accurate answer??

  • 4 or 5 days before your MISSED period. So like if your period is due on the 18th of the month, you can test on the 14th or 15th with First Response

  • Any earlier than that and you're going to have to get a blood test at the gyno

  • If it says positive, you're pregnant no matter how far along you are. It really depends on the test you buy. A good one can tell you before you miss a period, the cheaper ones usually are for after you've already missed it. The test box should tell you how early you can test. Most people find out between 4 and 8 weeks along.
