Is Dashi stock the same thing as Dashi base?

Probably a simple question (I wouldn't say dumb), but I'm drawing a blank lol. Store has it as base, but the recipe I'm looking up calls for stock. I am trying to figure out if I could still use it for the recipe or not, but Google is NOT being my friend today.

  • Not sure what it is, or what you use it for, but if it's like chicken or beef stock/base, you use the base to make a broth, similar to stock but not as good. So....yeah...hope that helps?

  • No. The base is concentrated, and is used to make the stock or broth
