  • Phillips liquid cherry. Go cautiously though(a little does a lot). Oh and I don't recommend taking it in divided doses throughout the day. Take it all in one dose but start out with like half a cup.

  • Try foods very high in fiber or a fiber supplement. Maybe a stool softener would help more than a laxative for gradual relief. My dad has diverticulitis and takes metamusil daily and it helps him.

  • prune juice that will clean you in 1 day

  • If you don't like prune juice, try apple juice or apple cider. My son eats a massive quantity of cheese and tends to get bound up; I counteract this by giving him apple juice. Keeps him regular.

  • If you are having IBS symptoms then a laxative is NOT what you need. You need to rebalance your intestinal bacteria. Start taking a daily probiotic like Align or Sustenex to balance your intestinal flor.

  • I was also going to suggest probiotics. Digestive enzymes would be good too. You could also try adding just a bit of aloe vera juice to some fruit juice or a glass of water if constipation is the real issue.

  • Look into taking Juice Plus.
It's 17 different fruits and veggies in a capsule, amazing what improving nutrition can do for the body.
