Couch to 5 K

Has anyone tried this? Did you use a book or a podcast? Whose training program did you use? How successful was it for you?

I downloaded a free 9-week C25K podcast last night from iTunes and I think I'm going to try it. I may not actually compete or even finish a 5k, but any exercise is better than sitting around watching the grass grow, right?

  • I had started it last summer but then I got really sick for 2-3 weeks and never started it back. I am about to start it back and now that I have an iPhone, I am going to download the podcast and do it that way. I am training to do a 5K at the end of April, but it is not your typical 5K. There are going to be mud holes, obstacles, etc along the away. Good luck!

  • You can do it. I started off walking with a ipod shuffle, which turned into running. A 5k is 3.1 miles....I would do that 4-5 times a week, but you have to do it at your own pace. Anyway is the right way!!!!!
