How long can I keep soup in the crockpot?

I'm sure it's been over 24 hours, my SO wouldn't eat the bean soup last night because it did not have ham, so I got ham and added it this morning, he's off in 4 hours, I just had some and it's delicious. It was on low for 10 hours then keep warm all night

  • People cook hams on low overnight....I think it'll be fine. I've done that before with the crockpot.

  • Um...I would seriously be cautious of bacteria from having it in there so long...

  • Yeah, you might have done better to pull the soup out and put it in the fridge overnight hon. Not leave it simmering for a 24 hour stretch of time. IDK on this one, maybe someone else has more experience with this
