Ben Wa help??

I read that when you start wearing them, you shouldn't do anything strenuous or wear them outside because even sneezing may make them drop out! Well, I've only started but I feel I can hold them in easily. But I asked my boyfriend if he could feel any difference when I consciously tightened my vaginal muscles and he said it wasn't much different from if I didn't flex at all. If I continue to use these balls, will it still make my muscles stronger even if I'm not making a huge effort to hold them in? The ones I have now are plastic. Should I get heavier ones?

  • i don't think its inappropriate... it has to do with vaginal health...
either way, i would maybe try metal balls... you should be able to start to feel a difference, but if you don't have to "work" to keep them in, they aren't going to do anything... its like any other muscle lifting weights... if you can easily do it, it's not going to do much... if it takes some work to do it, you will get stronger...

  • yes, they should strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, but if you have no trouble keeping the plastic ones in you could try metal ones (i've only had metal, but I assume they are heavier than plastic?). My husband can definitely feel my muscles when I flex them - and I've had 5 kids (3 vaginal deliveries).

  • Sorry if this made people feel awkward! I found this forum through searching on google "Ben Wa Balls questions" so I assumed it was appropriate.

  • I've heard they come in different weights and metal would be better than plastic.
