Making Friends

My baby is four months old and has a hard time making friends. When she is around other babies she wants to be held by adults and played with by adults. How do I get her interested to play with other babies? Also, she has a difficult time playing with herself. When I set her down on the mat or a blanket, she begins to fuss when there is nothing wrong with her. How do I get her comfortable to play with her toys?

  • At 4 months she is more interested in being with Mommy not with playing with toys or other kids. Its normal, give it time.

  • Babies don't know how to make friends!
4 month olds don't have the attention span to just lie there and play unattended like a toddler

  • 4 month olds are simply noy capable of this task, actually toddlers cant even do it they do what is called "side side play", Friend making starts aroundthe age od 3 or 4 years old. Dont worry she will get there, bt great job exposingher to a wide variety of people!

  • My DD is 10 months older than my best friends DDand we have had them around each other since her baby was born!
Well her DD is just about 10 months old, and is just now trying to play with my DD.
Give it time. At 4 months they barely know they exist.
    Good luck to you!
