  • You only have to breastfeed your baby if you want to. They will ask you most likely when your being admitted. They will give the baby to you right away, or after they clean it up, but not necessarily to feed but to hold and bond. It's an experience you'll never forget, just to hold your new born baby.

  • It's totally optional. I do suggest writing up a birthing plan and giving it to your OB. It should touch bases with visitors, breast feeding, etc.

  • Like all other mom's said,..it's totally optional. They asked me both times, and baby doesn't have to feed right away if you plan to breast feed,...so if you do, I suggest getting a little bit of rest first. It's a wonderful experience(giving birth) , one that you'll never forget, that's for sure! Goodluck Mommy-to-be! Wish you and baby all the best.

  • They don't MAKE you but I don't know why you wouldn't want your baby to have the best.

Even if you only nurse once it's beneficial. HAVE YOU DONE ANY RESEARCH AT ALL?
