Balance Ball

So in an effort to "improve my posture and strengthen my core" I am using a balance ball instead of a desk chair while working at the computer. I've been using it consistently for the last three days but all I'm feeling is intense pain in my upper back. It is just that I'm such a weakling and I should keep at it or something else?

  • That's what I was going to say too-- not all day, but for 20-30 minutes at a time. So, no, you're not a weakling, but it sounds like you're over doing it.

  • I wouldn't use it all day, but do it for 20-30 min at a time and thne take a break. You should also try some of the exercises that go with the balance ball they really help to strengthen your core as well.
