Would it be bad to get a gun just because you want one?

  • No it wouldn't be bad but

    if you don't know how to use it you should learn how to use it, clean it, etc

    Plan for how you are going to keep it away locked up.

  • No.
    I would also consider sooner rather than later if this is something you are seriously considering. Gov is cracking down harder and harder on gun posession.

  • i want one for my personal benefit, so i can learn to use to be ready in case of anything, better be safe than sorry type of thing

  • No, just make sure you know how to use it. We have several guns & i was trained on how to use them properly.

  •  The link is for NRA instructors, calling a shooting range and asking what courses they have would be an option as well. One of the ranges here has where you can "rent" a gun to shoot there as well, so you might want to check if they have anything like that around you.
