What is a good thank you gift for 6 different people?

There are 5 men and one woman- all former coworkers of my husband who were incredibly helpful when we moved out of town AND dh was in the hospital for a week. I was planning to make them all some homemade candy...but now that the holidays have passed I am second guessing myself. I know if I leave it up to dh he will just procrastinate (we are feeling like how on earth could we thank them enough...and not knowing what to do is making us both put it off). We are on a tight budget. Any ideas would be great!!

  • I'd try and put together a cookie basket or maybe order donuts for the whole office?

  • Oh, and since we moved, I have to mail it. DH is sending something to his old office but these are specific people who went above and beyond.

  • you could get them a small gift card. If together gift then something homemade like a cookie, muffin, dounghnut tray. If seprate than maybe for the woman bath stuff, for the men than maybe a new wallet, just something from the heart. Also maybe a spagetti basket with pasta sauce, parcheasn cheese, spaggeti.Maybe even cook something easy and take over.

  • Okay since have to mail it then for the woman a bath set would be fine like soap, lotion, or gift card for bath and beyond would be nice. For the men a gift card, wallet, mug with coffee or cocoa since cold. And even for both homemade cookies.

  • Ok, so a lot of people are suggesting homemade cookies or food- so maybe I should stick with my homemade candy idea? I was going to make flavored marshmallow (orange, mint..) and maybe cover them in chocolate, along with butter crunch candy. I just thought maybe something homemade was not enough or tacky??
