  • We don't have a joint account either. Hell, I haven't even taken his last name.

  • No
We each have our own bank accounts. We each have our own checking and savings accounts. We also have a joint checking account that we each contribute a percentage of our income.

  • We have 2 accounts with both our names on it and only my account has my name on it.

  • I'll never understand separate accounts. First of all why pay all those fees? Plus, if you make a lot more than him, do you order the lobster while he gets a green salad? Are you going to retire 10 years before him? I don't get it. We're married (for 20 years) it's our money.
