could I be pregnant?

I have a 5 month old that i strictly breastfeed and i had my first menstral cycle last month but havent had another one yet. I have 2 other children that i breastfed for a year with a litttle formula and my cycle wasnt on until after i stopped breastfeeding. My period is a week late should i go ahead and take a pregnancy test?

  • No, I would wait until you pop a baby out of you to find out.

  • sorry poster, but this question comes up a lot, any many wonder why it's asked. if you had sex, you could be preganant. Many symptoms could point to that, and every woman is different.
many wonder why the poster doesn't just take a test to give a idea if she is or not.

so why don't you take a test instead of asking here? just wondering, don't take it personally.

  • I personally know a few women who were breastfeeding their infants and got pregnant again so I would take a test if you are already a week late. I hope you get the answer you are hoping for.
