My son Won't Nurse...

As i said in my last question my son had his first shots today... now he won't nurse... any Ideas why and how long it will last??

  • My son and I spend the day after he got his shots snuggling on my bed. I just let him lay next to me, eating when he wanted to, otherwise just being close to Mommy. It was a really hard morning (honestly, I think it was harder for me than for him!), but at the same time, it was a great day.

  • He may be feeling sore or cranky from the shots. Just keep offering the breast and give tylenol to relieve the pain, and i'm sure he will nurse soon.

  • it will pass my son didn't want anything to do with food or nursing whenever he gets his shots. they won't starve they know when they need to eat. by tomorrow afternoon he should be back to normal.

  • Try a sidelying position so that you aren't putting pressure on his legs.
