Dressing themselves?

How would you rate your 4 year old's ability to dress and undress themselves?

Not well (you usually have to do it)
Well (child can generally dress/undress independently but occasionally needs help)
Perfect (child never needs help)

  • daughter is three and a half
    has autism
    she does great
    does not to great on your scale (your scale would be below not well)
    but her scale, every day she is doing better

  • Depends on his mood, but physical ability is perfect (except for shoe tying, but we have velcro )... actual day to day use of his physical ability is not well :)

  • Well. He CAN do it all but needs a little help with getting socks on the right way and just chooses not to do it himself because he is lazy, lol.

  • Well - he still needs help with things like buttons and zippers. Sometimes we help him get dressed in the interest of time.

  • Well, I have a 4 1/2 year old and a 3 year old and both of them, for the most part, can dress themselves with a little help with buttons and things like that.
