  • Scientific studies have discovered that the main ingredients responsible for green tea slimming effects are caffeine and EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate). There are at least 5 proven ways they can help you lose weight:

    Increase metabolism

    Burn fat

Block conversion of energy into fat.

Help your body absorb less dietary fat.

Regulate your blood sugar levels and reduce food cravings

  • The antioxidants are a benefit. I heard you have to drink huge amounts for it to help with weight loss.

  • I would stay clean away from the pill. The tea has proven benefits, but you pretty much have to drink it all day long, and it has to be the full caffeine version. So if you are sensitive to caffeine, that's an issue.

  • Check out

    Some things they say:
    1. Stick with good quality green tea; the better the quality, the less you have to drink, because the tea will have more of the beneficial antioxidants.
    2. Stick with unflavored tea; pre-flavored tea usually means they're starting with lower-quality tea.
