Can I use canola oil instead of vegetable oil?

I'm making muffins in the morning. The recipe calls for veg oil but I only have canola! Will it work just the same?
Thanks!

  • Yes! Canola is a "neutral" oil, just like vegetable.

  • Yes, but I would personally stay away from canola oil. It is made from rapeseed and has the highest concentration of euricic (sp?) acid which is highly toxic to the heart. As a result, it is genetically modified to make it less toxic.
