  • Call some used book stores or see if they are being sold on eBay.

  • eBay has a site called That's where I sell most of mine.

  • Do you have a Hastings in your area? They buy used books. I don't know how it works though. I am not sure if they give you cash or in store credit.

  • There's a place called Half-Price Books where I am (they are national) and I sell my books to them, but they don't give you a whole lot for them. You could also check the phone book to see if there are any privately owned used book stores, as they may give you more for you books. For your textbooks, you could sell them back to your school's bookstore or sometimes there's another college bookstore near campus that will buy them (they'll often take books your college's bookstore won't buy back). If you live near a college campus that has a medical program, you could try posting your books on a bulletin board on campus.

  • Ebay.
Your local college may take any text books off of your hands.
