quantitative blood tests???

How soon after implantation bleeding will the quantitative blood test show pregnancy? I know that after implantation the body starts to produce HCG, but how soon will it show?

  • It still takes awhile. No sooner than a qualitative test, usually about 22 units.

  • Not everyone has implantation bleeding. It takes a bit for your body to start producing the HCG.

  • Give it about a week or week and a half after implantation occurs. It is the placenta that puts out the HCG hormone so it has to have time to develop and begin functioning. You also need to allow enough of it to build up in your system to register on a test.

  • Timewise would be about two weeks past ovulation. A week for the egg to travel the tubes to the uterus and another week or so for it to implant.
