  • That I would not be able to sleep very well due to my c-section. I think all together I under estimated the whole procedure.

  • How overwhelming the entire process is of bringing home the baby. Nobody tells you that when you get home, even if you have everything under control, that it is super overwhelming. It's not something you can prepare for or really understand before hand. When you bring home that child, regardless of how many children you've cared for before, it is just a rush of emotion and endurance. Crazy.

  • That the baby would poop so much. I knew that breastfed babies poop a lot, but I had no idea it was going to be like this!!
