Would you buy a new car seat?

My son is being pooty trained and my husband will not let him wear diapers anymore except for at night. Today he peed in his car seat so I need to take the cover off and wash it. I just now learned I have to wash the cover in the bathtube and it actually requires a screwdriver to get it off the seat. I know the whole peeing in his seat thing is going to keep happening for awhile. Is it worth it to get a different seat with a machine washable cover that is easier to get off?

  • he will outgrow it very quick and learn he doesn't like to pee his pants and sit in it, I wouldn't waste the money or buy the cheaper seat.

  • leave the cover on, take it to a carwash, and spray off the seat, and then let it dry! no sense in wasting money on a new seat!

  • No. Spending 200 dollars on a new carseat for the few months he's potty training is ridiculous. Just unscrew it.

  • Sounds to me like you would rather get a new seat. Go for it. How old is your son that he is not allowe to wear pull ups or diapers?
