How do you get a two yearold to listen??? He won't stop hitting his sisters!

He is very loving but can't control his temper! He has difficulty speaking so it is hard for him to express himself. Any ideas would be welcome.

  • Remove him from the situation. Explain to him how it hurts them. Teach him and more importantly, show him "Gentle touch" or Be gentle". Consistency is the key!

  • i am kind of old fashioned so i dont want to offend anyone but i believe in whipping children.. i dont beat mine but i do give him a pop with my hand or a little feel of a switch when he pitches a fit or bites or hits.. anything like that he gets a spanking for... and whenever i'm finished with him, i set him on the couch and make him stay until he stops crying and calms down.. after he stops with the crying i give him kisses and love on him just to let him know i do love him and i dont like whipping.. he now almost always listens to what i say and is still close to me.. he always wants his mommy and nobody else.. just because people spank there children doesnt mean the child loves them any less.. if anything, they have more respect and love for that parent as they get older

  • It's the "terrible twos" he's having a hard time comunicating and needs help learning to control his emotions. now's a good time to begin using some sort of "punishment". remember that consistency is the key!
