why turn your head when you cough?

Why do doctors tell our so's to turn their heads when they cough? What does it do?

  • To create more intercostal stress --that is, to stretch everything in order to show any weakness in the muscle wall (yes, it's checking for a hernia, but the 'turning your head' isn't just cause someone might be shy).

  • Well just want them to couf bc when they cough the balls make a movment and they can feel if there is anything wrong they tell them to tuen thier head bc they dont want someone coughing in thier face
