Anybody have or had pre-diabetes blood test says but you would have a low blood sugar situation?

It's happened to me to times now,I'd get really bad hypoglycemia[low blood sugar] but my blood tests say I'm pre-diabetic.My doctors including endocrinologists can't help me and they don't know what is going on.I've had a diabetic expert tell me that since I'm pre-diabetic,I can still have low blood sugar, actually she wasn't a expert but she did know alot about diabetes.I assume some of my other medications for raising my blood sugar because you can't have high sugar and be low at the same time?

  • Its all related.....generally when someone has diabetes they have experienced low blood sugar as well.

I have had many many low blood sugar episodes, but have had gestational diabetes twice, this also makes me more prone to getting type 2 when I am older.

  • Type 1 diabetes is a pancreas failure. Type 2 is a partial pancreas fail.

When your pancreas is failing, it fails in both directions: being unable to make enough insulin when it's necessary (when you eat too much simple carb at a time, or on an empty stomach, or whatever) and making too much other times... lowering your blood sugar too far.

  • The first time I had the low blood sugar I couldn't buy any meat for my hypoglycemia, most hypos need meat, well that's why it went low it didn't just go low and the 2nd time was caused by stresss, did you have situations like mine or did it just go low?I doubt with the meat but other factors?
