No religions involve a male or female God, God is simply God.

  • Well, Hindu has deities, male and female

  • Many religions have female deities, and I think most of the religions that do are polytheistic or patheistic. I'm not sure of any monotheistic religions that worship only one deity that is female, excepting for Dianic Wicca (I admit that I know very little about that faith though).

  • Many religions that fall under the Pagan umbrella believe in a female diety. Wiccans, Hindus are a couple.

  • I am catholic and never grew up thinking God was male or female. God is of no gender.

  • Pretty much all of the hundreds of religions that are not Abrahamic involve at least one goddess somewhere in the mix (so in other words, everything that isn't Jewish, Christian, or Muslim)

  • Agree with N.P. Every religion OUTSIDE of the mysogynistic Abrahamic beliefs has a goddess because without the female entity the male entity cannot create and vice versa. Okay, maybe not Mithraism. They were a mens-only group too.

  • Yeah, I have to agree with NP, just about anything outside of the Abrahamic lineage has female deities involved. As a Pagan I am happy to say I love the Great Goddess!

  • I'm LDS and we believe that we have a Heavenly Father ( God) and a Heavenly Mother.
