I found a package of italian sausage in the deep freeze and the date is from october

is it still good.....I know it was thrown in there before the expiration date.
also just so you know it is, Johnsonville fresh italian sausage and it has been thawed for less then 24 hours

  • It's fine - all meat products last 6 months to a year in the freezer. If they are specially packaged for it, they can last even longer. What matters is that once you defrost it, you don't leave it thawed longer than the amount of time you had between the day it went in the freezer and the expiration date. It's better to re-freeze it than let it stay thawed too long.
