Can you recommend a good hand cream for severely dry ,cracked hands?

I use Clinique deep comfort on my body but they don't make a hand cream. My skin is peeling so bas around the tops of my fingers and thumbs, they are bleeding and very sensitive. I use bag balm at night with gloves but it is too greasy for day. Any ideas?

  • Renew from Melaluca was all that helped me. You'd have to call them to find someone to buy it from though. So far I haven't had much luck with reordering it.

  • Eucerin. Its thick and heavy but works.

  • Stop washing your hands so frequently, use a gentle cleanser (not antibacterial anything, and no soap at all), use cooler water, and select a moisturizing product with shea butter rather than petroleum or oil.

  • Is bag balm the stuff they use on cow udders? I did hear that, just last week! Otherwise, I was going to suggest "udder cream" (and I actually think that is the brand name, too) but I don't know how greasy it is.

  • olive oil. creams aren't gonna do the trick, most likely. seriously, the olive oil helped mine more than anything else out there. every time they are in water rub it on. even get those gloves for your hands and put them on after putting the oil on.

  • Neutrogena hand cream, norwegian formula. You can find it any drug store. Works amazing and is not greasy. Fishermen use it as well.
