Are Your Kids Off on Monday for Dr. Martin Luther King's Brithday Holiday?

My kids are off tomorrow; Monday, January 17th.

We are going out for lunch and then a movie.

I hope everyone here has a great day either way.

  • My kids are off tomorrow and Tuesday (teacher workshop day.) I am sick, so I grateful to not have to be anywhere or take anyone anywhere.

  • Yeah and I'm really upset about it. They had a snow day on Wed so I missed my Chemistry class and I have class tomorrow and they don' I miss another Chemistry lecture. I can't afford to buy the textbook and have no friends in class yet so I can't get the notes. We have a test coming soon. I am thinking about bringing my kids to my college tomorrow to talk with my professor.

  • My son has a half day and it isn't for MLK Day, it's for teacher workday because the semester ended on Friday. The district took MLK day away as a day off about 15 years ago.

  • Nope, we homeschool and don't take off for it. We've had enough time off recently with Christmas break, it's too early for another holiday.
