What are things people say/do that just make your day brighter?

It can be something small or big, doesn't matter to me.  My kids say please and thankyou and act like every meal I make them is the best thing they've ever had.  That brightens me up every day, lol.

  • I love it when I'm running, and someone says something encouraging. That always gives me a nice little push!
I love when DH does the chores I ask him to do when I've only asked him ONCE.
I love when my 2 year old politely asks for things without bring prompted, or just smiles at me. He warms my heart when he goes, "I love you I love you I love you a BUNCH!"

  • When my kids give compliments and it can be anything.....when I pick up my son from school and his teacher makes an effort to take a minute and tell me how good my son was and how well he reads and listens, she always has a funny story about him.

  • Gosh there's so many! I like it when I get a compliment of some kind--it makes me feel better about myself. My baby boy's smile and laughter always does the trick. The affection my dogs give me. Hubby calls me every day from work just to say Hi. Can't beat that. :)

  • Smiles wherever I get them, jokes, good memories, my son saying, "I missed you, Mom", after he's been away for a day or two, compliments, emails from my friends, flowers, my cat greeting me in the morning, a student saying, "Oh, I get it now!"
