Fruits and Veggies???

How many servings of fruits and veggies do you eat in an average day?? I know I don't come anywhere close to the recommended amount......

  • I try to get 5 a day, although not necessarily always fresh. A banana (1-2 servings depending on size), 1 can of vegetarian vegetable soup (2 servings), and 2+ servings with dinner. Sometimes I switch it up with a salad or a veggie sandwich or veggie omelette.

  • I'll have 3 or 4 small servings a month if I'm lucky.   I eat a bit more in the summer.

  • Well, I'm sure I go way over the minimum. Just yesterday I had a banana with my cereal, an apple for a snack, a salad for lunch (lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, green peppers, and cucumbers) and then I had 1 1/2 cups of broccoli with my dinner. Today, I had another banana with my cereal, will have an orange for snack, another salad for lunch and I'm making brussels sprouts with dinner. We love fruits and vegetables, but we try not to eat too much fruit because of all the sugar(no more than 3 pieces per day, but usually just 2).
