  • are you talking about the actual bed or the bedding?
If it is the bed we bought our son a captains bed...with the drawers under and the bookcase headboard...he loves it and it gives us extra storage. For bedding I would just go with what he likes.

This is the bed my son has. It can be used for a toddler bed or a twin sized. We got him a memory foam twin mattress for it when he turned 2 and it is more comfortable than my own bed.

  • Any bed with drawers is great! If you have a childrens furniture store nearby, you can get some ideas of what's available and then shop around for price. Kids outgrow the toddler beds very quickly becaue you are just using the crib mattress. It really depends on what you want. The toddler beds come in things like racing car shapes and you just put the crib mattress into it.
Like I said, when you do buy the twin bed your best bet is to get the one with drawers (often called Captains beds). Those drawers are so valuable for the extra storage you'll always need. The bed also has a "grown up" look to it so it can last for years!

There are lots of twin size sheet sets available in many different themes. The sheets are often a motivater to get your child to want to sleep in the bed! Happy shopping!
