Romance Readers - Favorite Author?

Personally, I like Megan Hart. Her characters are realistic and a little off-center at times, and her books tend to interrelate (a minor character from one may become a major character in another) but not so heavily that you have to read them all to follow the storyline.

Plus she's a fan of Supernatural, a Dean girl, and owns a purple '67 Impala convertible, so she's cool in real life!

  • THE QUEEN BAR NON is LaVyrle Spencer....she has since retired...broke my heart. If you have not read her, do yourself a favor and do it. I suggest Morning Glory, Years, Hummingbird, or The Gamble to start....Oh and Bitter Sweet is awesome too.

  • Lauren Willig, they actually have decent plots and take place in Jane Austen times. They have the right amt. of action, mystery, strong women characters and romance. Go to Amazon and check out the Pink Carnation Series ,great books. New one comes out next week.

I have to agree with you. She was my favorite before she retired. I read everything she wrote more than once. *sigh* She was truly the best. I was saddened that she retired as well. I wasn't even thinking of the older novelist, I was thinking present day, but you are SOOO right. I think my favorite was The Endearment. I thought that was so sweet.
