Pilot Shows Compassion for Grieving Family

While I appreciate the pilot's effort (and applaud them in my heart of hearts), I think it's a sad statement on our society that someone who shows a little human compassion and does something right and good, is heralded as a hero. Maybe if more people acted this way, it wouldn't be so extraordinary.

  • If you read the article carefully you will see it was the press that put it forward not the pilot. Not many people today pay anything forward and I have just started my education in doing so. No it should get some press because if not, it could not happen, people would be yelling about what is right and wrong, how long they had to wait. Many deeds like this one are done and have been, this one was really particularly unbearable. My only fear in life is loosing any of 4 sons, their wife and mostly my grand children. I guess the world has to study the word compassion.
