Does anyone do 1099 tax forms

It's tax time again (or cloes enough that I making sure I have everything right).
if you do 1099 form do I need to sepatre the food cost and other cost (like pens paper and such) or can that be one total. I don't remeber I heard it was changing but I don't know if that's one of the changes.

I know I need a monthly total for gas, phone, truck ins, truck repair.
But do the daily items need to be split down too. I know everything has to be split monthly.

  • You send 1099s or you get a 1099? We send 1099s to our employees. We separate our business expenses into: office, car/gas, food, entertainment, supplies, tools, utilities, travel, and insurance.

  • I do a 1099. Or I should say my S/O does I just help with getting it ready.
So I should have a different total for everything.
Isn't supplies and office the same.

  • A 1099 is a form for contract labor...or funds earned that need to be taxed. There isn't anything to separate. Are you sure you are talking about the right form? It sounds like you mean a 1040.

  • I would contact the IRS website for help. I've only received a 1099 but never made one out.
