Do you add inlaws to your sibling list on FB?

My 14 year old sister in law sent a request on Facebook to list me as her sister. She tells me I am one of her sisters since I use to live in their house for several years once upon a time. She already listed hubby as her I keep giggling thinking its weird....but then I thought...

Is it common to list inlaws as siblings? What are your thoughts? Do you list inlaws as siblings or as parents?

  • ~*NOPE*~... I think that clear cut, where a person stands, is more honest... besides, even though I personally do not believe in divorce, if I did, I wouldn't keep contact with what should be my husband's support network? I think those that take another person's role are beyond selfish, but those that allow it, speaks volumes about them too...

  • She is only 14 so I wouldnt consider it an issue. She doesnt know any better. More reason as to why kids shouldnt be allowed on FB

  • I don't feel it is wrong to list a "sister-in-law" as a sister. If I were close to mine it would be fine as this means "sister thru marriage". However, I am not close and wouldn't because mine is evil! My daughter tried to request her daughter as a friend and the girl (cousin) wouldn't friend her. She has taught her daughter to be EVIL too! Hopefully, none of you has this problem. :(

  • I've added all my siblings-in-law. Not only my hubby's brother and sister, but their spouses as well. My husband has added my sisters and also my parents as his. I would really think it depends on the relationship. We're all very close, and are just like blood family.

  • I list them as relatives, but not as siblings. They're inlaws, not my siblings.
