  • white and if you add mirrors in the room (not the tacky kind) but a nice long mirror of even one big on oppset ends of the room it makes the room seem larger

  • Lighter colors make a room appear larger, darker ones make it appear smaller. It doesn't have to white, but stick with light colors. I have a taupe color in many rooms in my home.

  • Light colors.
    Large mirrors.
    Smaller furniture.
    No clutter.
    No window coverings.

  • White, but I try to stay away from that color... remove drapes, use blinds
having no carpet can also make a room look bigger...
de cluttering a room and using less furniture can help too...

  • Light colours open up a room and dark colours make it smaller.

  • Definitely lighter colors, but you can also paint the ceiling a shade or two lighter than the walls but in the same color family. It really makes a small room or lower ceiling appear larger because it doesn't break up the color too much. Good luck!
