Should I do cardio everyday?

I want to lose about 15-20lbs before mid-March. Ive joined sparkpeople and have been keeping track of my calories and exercise. I like to walk to the gym 3x a week. But in order to reach my goal, should I do cardio everyday? I dont want to risk injury by doing too much. Currently, on my off days, I do pushups and situps in preparation for basic training. I dont want to lift weights because I need to weigh a certain amount so I can go. If I should do cardio everyday, what should I do?

  • cardio every day, but change up your cardio, dont run every day because that can injure your knees and feet, so running every other day and eliptical, or biking, or even a dance like zumba or P90X the days you dont run.

  • Everything I read says you should rest in between days especially if you are not used to working out. 'when I began the Couch to 5K they had me doing the jogging three days a week. Monday, Wednesday and Friday work best.
