Something special for a boy's 16 birthday?

My nephew is turning 16 very soon. We have always given him money or gift cards before because that is what he wanted. I still plan to give him some money but want to give him something else a little special. Any ideas?

  • Being a mom of a 16 year old boy, that's a tough call. Kinda depends on how much money you want to spend. If money is no object, I would get him like a Wii... but that's my son... every 16 year old is way different.

  • money is always good because he can buy whatever he wants.if he has a cell phone then buy him some minutes or pay his next bill.Taking him out to a buffet will be nice.

  • I would get something that reflects the fact that he'll be driving soon. After all, that is what all 16 year olds want....to drive.....give him money, but then put together funny bumper stickers, key chain, gas card, etc....that is all fun!
