what to do??????

myy daughter has had a rash for 2 weeks almost and i have tried letting it air out i put on cream i dont kno what else to do

  • Start putting yogurt into cereal or even getting the lowfat flavored variety. It sounds like her ph is off balance. also, you can apply the unflavored version right to her tush.

  • Remove dairy from her diet and see if it goes away.

    Stop feeding her tomatoes, oranges, peppers, pineapple, apple juice... acidic foods are hard for most babies to digest and that comes out as a rash for most of them --especially if she has a matching rash on her face.

  • Limit the juice to 4 oz a day. other than water or milk, it's really unnecessary.

  • Take her to the pediatrician - she may just have a stubborn yeast infection (regular diaper cream won't kill the yeast) and they can give her a prescription strength cream that should help a lot. In the meanwhile, you could try adding a thin layer of Lotramin (foot fungus medicine) on her clean, dry bum and then put a thick layer of diaper cream over it. That works for my son. Good luck!
