  • We have a gas fireplace. I always kinda thought they were a little on the stupid side and not very nostalgic, like a wood-burning fireplace. But I LOVE it! We sometimes use it daily during the winter. It warms the room very quickly, and it is a ventless gas fireplace, so none of the warm air escapes through the flue.

  • I've had a fireplace for nearly 4 years, and we've never used it.

  • We have two wood-burning fireplaces. We have yet to use them. We bought our house last year, and we have to get a chimney sweep in before we can use them.

  • We have gas burning in our homes. We occasionally use them. It's in the 80's this week, so not now!

  • We have a wood burning stove insert in ours. LOVE it and run it when it gets cold here to help with heating costs.

  • We have a fireplace in our family room. When it's not a 'spare the air day', we sometimes burn a few logs. We don't use it very late, because we want to be sure it's completely out before we close the flu for the night. If it gets too late in the evening, cold air blows in through the chimney. We get very little heat from it, but it looks nice.
