Is there supposed to be a well baby visit at 2 and a half?

I moved when my son was 2 and a half so I didn't get a reminder card. My son will be three in May. Did I miss one?

  • I don't think so. I think after 2 years it's just the yearly check up around the birthday. My son is 5 so it's been a while since I've had to take him in for more than for being sick or just the yearly well check.

  • No....after my daughter's 2 year well visit, they said they don't need to see her again until she's three..unless of course, she's sick.

  • on my shot record card it says birth, 2mths, 4mths, 6, 12-15, 18mths, then skips to 4-6 and 11-12. so i mean in between would be fine for a check up. but ur son is required to go to a well visit.

  • Our insurance wants well-child visits once per year after they turn 2, and our doctors office is the same way - before 2 there are more, after 2 it's just once a year.
