  • One Valentine Day I snuck to my husbands job. I filled his car to the max with red balloons. They the bag of $ store balloons, nothing fancy. I put a note on the steering wheel saying "will you be my Valentine"? Men love that kinda romance just like we do. He had to let a couple balloons go to even fit in the car. It was packed tight!

  • We have a nice family dinner and then celebrate Valentines day on a different weekend.

  • I prefer to not go out on valentines or mothers day... I find the crowds a waste of my time.
I prefer to do something at home. When we go out it is during a random weekend when the crowds are not so bad.

  • Contrived Hallmark holidays make me angry. My husband is banned from buying me anything for it, partly because it's just after my birthday, and mostly because if he wants to buy anything romantic or because he loves me, he'd better do it when he's feelin' it, not when 7/8th of our society says 'it's time.'

  • Postponed until the next weekend. It's just a hallmark day. Every time DH and I have a night alone is a valentine's day. Literally we both work full time and kids are in band, sports, study groups, etc.

  • My V-day plans w/out a babysitter, look pretty much like my every other holiday plans w/ a babsitter. lol. We just go out when we can, and don't put a big signifigance on holidays, etc.

  • To me V-Day is overrated and another way for business to make money. We don't do gifts or go to dinner.

  • We always take our daughter. We took her out on our wedding anniversary. But 1 child is easier than several.
