TOY BOXES!

Okay, so does anyone else remember the toy boxes we had as kids? You know, the Little Tykes plastic BIG toybox that held all our toys, had a hinged lid that stayed open and closed easily so it didn't pinch our little fingers? WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM?!?!?!?!

I'm going crazy looking for a toy box to surprise my soon-to-be 1 year old for her birthday, and I can't find one ANYHWHERE!!!! If anyone out there knows where I can buy one, or happens to have one in really good condition for a good price, PLEASE let me know!!!!!

  • I found a pretty good toy box at Walmart.com.  It's not like our old ones but still a good price and you can get the table and chairs to match the toybox.  Sorry that I can't help more!

  • really, where at? Our walmart has what they call toy boxes, but they are really flimsy and don't hold very much.

  • You can try your local craigslist. I think that is the best bet to find a vintage item. I have the one I grew up with little tikes plastic with a lid that completely removes.

  • It's online.  http://www.walmart.com/  Search toyboxes.  They have free site to store shipping too so no shipping charges.

  • I bought the toybox and the table and chairs set.  The colors match perfectly and the lid isn't heavy enough to smash fingers.  They have 2 trays at the bottom too to store the little stuff.  Very cute.  :)

  • they look adorable, and JUST what I was wanting! For the past few months I'd been using cardboard diaper boxes to hold her toys, but she has soo many that it ain't cuttin it anymore.

  • My dad made a treasure chest toy box for ds. It is so amazing. I don't have a picture to post but I love it. My dad even put some hidden scripture and quotes on the under side of the lid.
