  • I think that parents should be there for children not the other way around, I would say no it should not be done, they have had their life what if a complication happened and your children were without parent. If you have good parents and want to help look for ideas on how to prolong their life, not possibly give yours.

  • Yes, I wouldn't think twice.

  • I would. My father only had 1 kidney. He had donated one to a brother, I think. I don't think I would even think it twice. They gave me life, I'd do almost anything for them.

  • I would not do it. 1 of my children might need a kidney, and I would want to die if I didnt have it to give.

  • any child of mine, my nieces or maybe siblings but not my parents.
in any of these cases I couldn't see my being a possible donor anyhow for health reasons.

in both cases my parents abused their bodies in so many ways that I won't get into, no I wouldn't give a kidney to my parents.
I would do all I could to help ensure that they were as happy as possible, but I would not give them a organ.
for anyone whose mouth is dropping on this, those that decide who gets organs and who doesn't takes such things completely into consideration.

  • No. My mom died 2 years ago. My dad is an alcoholic so no I wouldn't be willing to part with a kidney for someone who doesn't care enough about his own health to stop drinking.
