Arizona--When did the crackdown on illegal

alians occur? Was it a new law that was passed?

  • It was passed.
    It was held up while Federal lawyers sued Arizona, claiming that the law was un-Constitutional.

    When that didn't fly, they claimed that AZ had no right to enforce its new law (exactly like the Federal law),because it was supposed to be the Federal gov't that enforces border and immigration laws.

    The fact that the Federal gov't was NOT carrying out its responsibility is what prompted Arizona's law in the first place !

    Certain parts of the new law were ruled to be questionable, and a judge created an injunction to delay policemen enforcing those parts.

    I don't know when the injunction was supposed to be resolved.

  • i think Arizona did the right thing i dont blame them at all, good for them your not going to keep your country safe if you dont keep your borders secure.
