SODIUM IN CANNED FOODS

I NOTICE NOW SOME CANNED TOMATOES HAVE NO SALT ADDED WHICH IS AWESOME.....I THINK THERE SHOULD BE MORE OF THIS AVAILABLE TO US. HOW ABOUT YOU?

  • Canned = preservative. so whether its salt or not Id find out what is keeping canned food fresh for so long. It May not be any better than salt. JMO Not sure of the facts though

  • There is, but they are pricier. If you have any local farmers markets in the spring and summer stock up on veggies and can or freeze them to avoid salt and other possible additives! Or grow your own and can and freeze!

  • You can get rid of a lot of salt by rinsing your canned vegetables before using them.

  • YES WE SHOULD READ INGREDIENTS IN CAN TO ASSURE OUR DIETS IN OUR FAMILY. SOME SAYS LOW SODIUM SOME DOES NOT SAID NOTHING SO BE SURE TWICE WHEN BUYING FOOD IN CANS AND EVALUATE THE SALT CUANTITY. GOOD LUCK
