Is it normal for your mucus plug to fall out and then start to bleed excessively even through a pad within 10 minutes

  • I've had 3 kids and I have always been told that any bleeding like that period is dangerous!  Get to the DR!

  • if the blood is soaking up the pad that quickly, something is not right. call and let your ob know on the way to the ER.

  • Notice this is posted anon. Any woman with a lick of sense would not get on the computer and wait for answers to this. I call B.S. The kind of bleeding described is usually accompanied by excruciating pain. It would likely be associated to Placental Abruption or onset of labor with a complete placenta previa. In any case a life threatening emergency for both mother and child. If by some ignorant chance you are being honest call 911.

  • Well i am being honest and its not me who this happened to its my cousin and when she called me i told her to call 911 I've had 4 children and this has never happened to me but every labor is different so i wanted opinions thank you very much you know what they say when you assume.....
